Buy a cheap copy of Accidental Sisters: The Story of My. I may have gone into this expecting something else, and this might be the reason for my reaction, but it is a simple story with a lot of people pitching in to ensure the ultimate meeting. It is a straightforward tale, told as such in a very matter-of-fact way, and it is a momentous journey for the author, but I did not feel anything by the time I completed the book except happy for the author for finding unexpected family. 'Katherine Linn Caire hits a home run with her first autobiographical novel,' - Williamson Herald, Franklin, TN. It is a very personal journey of a woman who finally decides to look into her birth parents and ends up with a half-sister, and the latter turns out to be a big part of the latter half of this short book.Īlthough it was a very swift read, I did not get much satisfaction out of this. In Chapter 2, Wallace drops dead of a heart attack before prime heart-attack age and we see his perspective from outside his body. To his small credit, he doesn’t enjoy it – he’s not mustache-twirling evil – but he can’t be bothered with other people’s feelings. In the opening chapter, he fires an otherwise good paralegal for one mistake. We start with Wallace Price, a lawyer who is all about the work. The strength is the characters, not so much because they are original but rather because Klune loves them and loves how they love each other. Four Aunties and a Wedding is the sequel to Dial A For Aunties, but it seemed almost like I was reading the same book. Horrified, Meddy can’t believe Staphanie and her family aren’t just like her own, they are The Family-actual mafia, and they're using Meddy's wedding as a chance to conduct shady business. Meddy realizes that is where their similarities end, however, when she overhears Staphanie talking about taking out a target. Meddy is hesitant at first, but she hits it off right away with the wedding photographer, Staphanie, who reminds Meddy of herself, down to the unfortunately misspelled name. As a compromise, they find the perfect wedding vendors: a Chinese-Indonesian family-run company just like theirs. Instead of having Ma and the aunts cater to her wedding, Meddy wants them to enjoy the day as guests. Now the day has arrived, and she can't wait to marry her college sweetheart, Nathan. Meddy Chan has been to countless weddings, but she never imagined how her own would turn out.
